About the position
The Teller Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Teller line, ensuring efficient and professional service to customers. This role involves coordinating work assignments, training staff, and maintaining compliance with bank policies and security procedures. The supervisor also plays a key role in customer service, resolving issues, and promoting bank products and services.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and effective Teller operations in accordance with established policies and standards.
- Coordinate Teller operations by assigning work and distributing workflow.
- Assist Tellers with complex transactions and sensitive customer relations problems.
- Ensure compliance with security procedures and investigate out-of-balance conditions.
- Perform customer service functions and resolve customer requests and problems promptly.
- Supervise and provide leadership to Teller personnel, ensuring optimal performance and training.
- Maintain effective communication with branch personnel and management.
- Complete required reports and documents accurately and promptly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Thorough knowledge of Teller operations and procedures.
- Good understanding of Bank operations and philosophy.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Supervisory and training abilities.
- Solid math skills and ability to operate related computer software.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Windows applications.
- Ability to perform 10-key typing.
