About the position
The Teller Supervisor at Wintrust is responsible for overseeing the teller staff and managing all branch functions related to customer transactions and routine banking services. This role emphasizes strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to motivate staff and ensure efficient operations within the teller department.
Responsibilities
- Supervise teller staff and manage branch functions related to customer transactions.
- Oversee operating procedures and practices within the teller department, including making approvals and exceptions to policy.
- Recognize potential fraud and report to management as necessary.
- Proactively solve operational issues and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and coach staff to recognize these opportunities.
- Perform routine monthly audits and track daily/monthly sales.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of teller staff.
- Complete performance reviews for teller staff.
- Assign work schedules to ensure efficient department function.
- Participate in community events as required.
Requirements
- Previous teller experience required.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred, ideally within a financial institution.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Polish preferred.
