About the position

The Teller Supervisor at OneAZ Credit Union is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the teller line, ensuring excellent member service and compliance with credit union policies. This role involves supervising a team of tellers, providing training and support, and managing performance to maintain operational efficiency and a positive member experience. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to address member inquiries and complaints effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of tellers engaged in receiving and paying out money and keeping records of transactions.
  • Interview, hire, and train associates; plan, assign, and direct work; manage performance; reward and coach associates; address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Ensure excellent member service and adherence to credit union policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily performance monitoring, provide coaching, and deliver feedback to tellers.
  • Assign duties and work schedules to tellers to ensure optimal service delivery and efficient department operation.
  • Oversee teller transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with all regulations and credit union policies.
  • Consolidate and balance daily teller transactions, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Train tellers in providing exceptional member service and adhering to credit union procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Address and resolve member inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring a high level of member satisfaction.
  • Monitor and enforce branch security procedures, including controlling access to the vault and ensuring the secure handling of cash and negotiable instruments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 to 5 years of similar or related experience, including previous Teller Supervisor experience in a similar asset size branch.
  • Strong leadership, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a credit union or banking environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to banking operations.
