About the position

The Teller Supervisor at Associated Bank is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the teller area, ensuring that customers receive efficient and friendly service. This role involves supervising teller staff, training them on operational issues, and coaching them to enhance customer relationships. The supervisor will also operate a teller window as needed and support the branch manager in maintaining operational integrity.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day operational activities of the teller area.
• Supervise tellers to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Train staff on operational issues and policies.
• Make judgment decisions and coach for referrals.
• Expand and deepen customer relationships by identifying needs and matching them with resources.
• Direct and demonstrate customer channels including digital technology.
• Oversee the office in the Branch Manager's absence when needed.
• Operate a Teller window as needed.
• Ensure teller balancing, cash ordering, and vault balancing are completed.
• Schedule teller staff and order supplies as necessary.
• Complete daily and monthly reports to ensure operational integrity.
• Provide regular observation and coaching feedback to tellers.
• Support branch goals by motivating tellers to deepen customer relationships.
• Participate in skill builder sessions and branch huddles.
• Participate in the interview and selection process of candidates.
• Coach, train, develop, evaluate, and provide feedback to tellers.

Requirements

• Experience in a supervisory role within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to foster positive relationships.
• Knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
• Ability to coach and develop staff effectively.
• Proficiency in using digital technology for customer service.
