About the position

The Teller Supervisor at Byline Bank is responsible for overseeing the teller line operations, managing staff schedules, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves coaching and developing teller staff, handling complex transactions, and maintaining compliance with bank policies. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to foster a collaborative environment while achieving branch goals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of the Tellers by scheduling staff and assigning work.
• Assist with complex transactions and sensitive client problems.
• Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
• Identify training needs of Teller staff and provide coaching opportunities.
• Participate in branch meetings and discuss various topics.
• Track and convey weekly branch targets and goals to staff.
• Ensure proper coverage for adherence to dual control and bank policies.
• Complete monthly branch certification and recap audits.
• Maintain adequate levels of supplies and ensure Tellers balance out daily.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of Teller experience is required.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience is required.
• Excellent customer service and oral communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English or Polish/English preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a Senior Teller preferred.
• Personal Banking experience (opening and servicing of customer accounts) is a plus.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
