About the position

The Teller is responsible for performing a wide range of customer service tasks at the bank, including handling customer accounts through both telephone and personal interactions. This role supports the bank staff in serving customers effectively, including assisting with loan processing and other banking services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily transactions including deposits, fund payouts, loan payments, and safe deposit box payments.
  • Scan and balance daily work and pull daily ATM totals.
  • Balance ATM periodically and process stop payments.
  • Assist customers with debit card disputes and complete regulatory forms as needed.
  • Promote and maintain positive relationships with customers and potential customers.
  • Research and answer customer inquiries, verify account information, and resolve problems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
  • Prior banking experience preferred.
  • Experience in customer service and working with the public.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
