About the position

The Teller position at Arvest Bank involves processing customer transactions and providing exceptional customer service under the supervision of a manager. The role includes engaging with customers to identify their needs, referring them to product specialists, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations. The Teller is expected to contribute to branch sales goals while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to achievement of branch sales goals by engaging customers in discovery conversations to determine their product needs and referring customers to the appropriate product specialists.
• Deliver consistent exceptional customer service by displaying sincere, outgoing, and aggressive friendliness.
• Accurately accept and process customer teller transactions, adhering to bank policies and procedures.
• Cash checks and withdrawals up to authorized limits; request authorization for transactions above assigned limits.
• Prepare daily settlements of teller cash and proof transactions.
• Explain policies and procedures to customers using customer-focused skills.
• Balance cash drawer to transactions daily.
• May open new accounts if successfully completed FSR training.
• Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in banking or finance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash and perform basic math calculations accurately.
• Knowledge of bank policies and regulations is a plus.
