Teller

About the position

The Teller position at Bountiful Dick's Department involves acting as a service representative responsible for a variety of financial transactions and member services. This part-time role requires balancing daily transactions, building member relationships, and promoting Credit Union services. Tellers will also assist members through various channels and serve as experts in digital services.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller functions accurately and efficiently according to established policies and procedures.
• Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals, investigating discrepancies as needed.
• Establish and build member relationships by identifying needs and cross-selling services.
• Assist members with account maintenance, opening and closing accounts, and resolving transaction issues.
• Act as a branch expert for electronic services, promoting digital banking solutions.
• Coordinate effectively with area personnel and management, providing guidance to other staff as needed.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to assist others.
• Ability to recognize and offer sales opportunities.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Solid math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate related computer software and business equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous retail sales or experience in a financial institution preferred.
