About the position

First Financial Bank Tellers are committed to creating personalized client experiences and building lasting relationships and loyalty through excellent customer service. As the face of our company to our communities, you will empower our clients to have easy access to their finances by completing their transactions quickly and accurately, every time they call or come to our banking centers. This is a non-exempt, on-site position based at our Clinton, Indiana branch. Responsibilities

  • Show clients you care by getting to know them and building meaningful connections.
  • Build a sound foundation of trust and client confidence through a high level of personal integrity.
  • Complete transactions accurately, thoroughly, and quickly.
  • Deliver value and next-level service by proactively anticipating and meeting client needs.
  • Grow business and meet sales goals by understanding client needs and connecting them with the right products and resources.
  • Protect clients from fraud and the bank from risk by understanding and closely following regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Flex your problem-solving skills by diffusing stressful situations and finding solutions to client issues with poise and professionalism.
  • Start and grow your banking career by building a fundamental understanding of retail banking and collaborating with other lines of business within the bank.

Requirements

  • Strong math and/or basic accounting skills.
  • Ability to assess client needs and offer prompt and creative solutions that are mutually beneficial for the bank and its clients.
  • Comfort with recommending and referring bank products and services.
  • Ability to diffuse client frustrations and resolve conflicts.
  • Active listening skills and a natural ability to ask clarifying questions.
  • Above average computer, typing and software data entry skills.
  • Previous experience manually counting cash and accurately balancing a cash drawer.
  • Ability to communicate with customers fluently in English.
  • Ability to commute to the primary work location and to occasionally commute to other work locations within driving distance.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and extended hours when needed.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service and answering incoming calls using a multi-line telephone system in a business setting.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cash handling role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
