About the position

As a Global HR Projects & Change Director at Boston Consulting Group, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our HR Operations change agenda, which is essential for establishing a best-in-class, people-first HR organization. Your primary responsibility will be to lead complex projects that are integral to our global change initiatives, collaborating closely with various HR teams, business partners, and global functions such as HRIS, Marketing, and Risk. The scope of our change agenda encompasses a range of human capital interventions that are crucial for meeting the demands of our rapidly growing firm and ambitious business objectives, all within a digitally enabled yet people-centric environment. In this role, you will be expected to adopt a consultative approach, leveraging your subject matter expertise in HR operations, digital shared services, process transformation, and change management. You will utilize data-driven methodologies to assess and implement changes effectively. Your ability to roll up your sleeves and engage in problem-solving will be critical as you navigate the complexities of HR processes and digital enablement strategies. You will need to demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and strong communication skills to effectively convey the narrative of transformational change to a diverse group of stakeholders, while proactively identifying and addressing their needs. Your responsibilities will include leading specific projects by scoping work, planning, conducting analyses, and making informed recommendations. You will direct the efforts of junior team members, ensuring that project work is executed efficiently. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning and prioritizing initiatives, developing work plans, and clarifying project priorities. Monitoring project progress, reviewing outputs, and providing insights on milestones and issues will also be part of your role. You will facilitate collaboration across diverse global teams, establishing effective communication channels and ensuring strong connections with internal functions and business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead specific projects including scoping work, planning, conducting analysis and making recommendations, analytics support and/or developing presentations
  • Direct the work of other more junior team members on project work where required
  • Plan and prioritize initiatives including developing work plans and team charters, clarifying priorities and creating an overall program plan
  • Identify and resolve issues and provide guidance and support to working teams
  • Work with stakeholders to understand pain points and perspectives, and align on go forward plans
  • Monitor progress of projects, review output and provide a view of progress and milestones and issues
  • Help coordinate across diverse global teams; including making connections, supporting collaboration and establishing regular communication channels among team/efforts
  • Ensure strong links across other internal function and business partners

Requirements

  • 10+ years' Consulting experience from top-tier firm and/or within a high-calibre HR team
  • Experience managing large-scale, global projects in support of organizational change efforts
  • Familiarity with professional services companies and business models
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to clarify problems and articulate solutions
  • Proven excellence with project management and group facilitation, across different cultures and related to highly confidential and sensitive topics
  • Ideally some product, system or digital experience particularly around HR systems and use cases
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus
  • Advanced skills in creating MS PowerPoint presentations; MS Word; strong Excel; familiarity with Trello and Slack
