About the position

The HR Compensation Specialist is a temporary role focused on providing operational and technical support for compensation programs within a large healthcare organization. This position involves collaboration with management, assisting with salary programs, conducting market analyses, and ensuring internal equity in compensation practices. The role requires strong partnerships with various teams to effectively manage compensation-related tasks and educate stakeholders on compensation programming.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Compensation Manager with all compensation programs, including job evaluation and internal equity analyses.
  • Works with the recruiting team to establish and negotiate offers and navigate HRIS system workflows.
  • Trains and educates the HR team, management, and employees on compensation programming.
  • Partners with the HRIS Analyst and Payroll Manager to coordinate functionality within Workday related to compensation.
  • Assists in rolling out the Annual Merit Review Process with the Compensation Manager.
  • Designs and prepares ad hoc compensation and budget-related reports for management.
  • Maintains a database of all Contractual Review Dates and salary ranges.
  • Participates in salary surveys and analyzes data to determine competitiveness.
  • Prices new jobs utilizing salary surveys and interprets relevant data for compensation strategies.
  • Answers compensation inquiries and ensures adherence to organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working in Compensation, including compensation reporting and modeling.
  • Strong technological aptitude with expert Excel skills.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven customer service, organizational, and team collaboration skills.
