The IT Student Helpdesk Assistant will assist students with password resets, navigating WSU Tech Websites, and connecting to the Wi-Fi network, especially from student smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The primary work location will be the IT office of the Campus to which they are assigned. Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to providing excellent customer service to WSU Tech Students, assisting students in understanding the Student IT guide, and answering IT-related questions via phone calls and emails. This role is crucial in ensuring that students have the necessary support to utilize IT services effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students with password resets and IT-related inquiries.
  • Help students navigate WSU Tech websites and connect to the Wi-Fi network.
  • Provide excellent customer service to WSU Tech students.
  • Answer the Student IT Helpdesk phone and respond to student needs.
  • Assist bookstore customers with connecting new devices to the WSU Tech Wi-Fi network.
  • Provide suggestions to the IT Department on improving student services.

Requirements

  • Be a WSUTECH student in good standing.
  • Enrolled in WSUTECH's IT Essentials Program or have completed CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • Ability to identify basic student IT needs.
  • Excellent organization and customer service skills.
  • Ability to interact well with a diverse campus population.

Nice-to-haves

  • Work Ethic Certified, preferred.
