About the position

The University of New Mexico is seeking qualified temporary part-time faculty members to teach various courses in Mechanical Engineering for the Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and Spring 2025 semesters. The role involves teaching subjects such as Dynamics, Vibrations, Control Systems, and Thermodynamics, among others. Instructors will be responsible for course delivery, assignment development, grading, and assessing student learning, with positions contingent upon student enrollment and course demand.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and develop program courses in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Meet with classes during assigned times.
  • Deliver course content effectively.
  • Develop assignments and grading criteria.
  • Report grades and assess student learning as outlined by the Department Chair.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
