About the position

The Product Assurance Analyst at ITT Goulds Pumps is responsible for ensuring quality assurance through inspections of assembled pump units, supporting the production team, and resolving discrepancies. This role involves logging inspection results, verifying documentation, and collaborating with various personnel to maintain quality standards in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA final inspection of assembled pump units to factory order requirements.
• Log inspection results into Excel and SharePoint databases for Quality Engineers.
• Verify proper documentation from vendors for customer requirements.
• Work with Scheduler to select rough and finished parts to meet QA requirements.
• Dimensionally measure finished stock parts when out of tolerance conditions arise.
• Collaborate with shop personnel and foreman to correct discrepancies on inspection jobs.
• Assist shop personnel by obtaining component drawings during the build process.
• Maintain a working relationship with Software QA Auditor to supply missing QA documentation.
• Provide assistance and answer questions from outside customers/inspectors.
• Supply information and supporting photos to QA Engineering for vendor discrepancies.
• Perform visual weld inspections.
• Conduct special studies or projects as assigned by supervisor.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 year technical degree or High School Diploma with equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of machine shop and/or assembly build experience.
• Quality Assurance experience is preferred.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Team player.
• Good communication skills.
• Customer-focused.
• PC skills: AS400, Excel, Word.
• VT Level II certification is preferred.
