Responsibilities
- Support fruit evaluations, forklift operations, orchard trial assessments, and daily activities in the research laboratory and storage facility, while collaborating with both internal teams and external partners.
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to job responsibilities.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Preferred (but not required): 2 years of experience in the tree fruit industry.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortably climb ladders.
- Valid driver's license and forklift certification.
- Conversational proficiency in both English and Spanish preferred.
- Flexible with work schedule and adaptable to varying conditions.
- Comfortable working in cold environments.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Able to stay focused and work efficiently amidst distractions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and phone skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, especially with numerical data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with all.
- Committed to embracing change and demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
