About the position

The Temp Retail Sales Associate at HomeGoods is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining store organization, and adhering to operational standards. This part-time role involves cross-training in various store areas to support business needs and promote a positive store culture based on honesty and respect.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
• Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store as needed.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns, providing correct change.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs to customers.
• Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and procedures.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company standards.
• Participate in store recovery throughout the day.
• Maintain cleanliness and organizational standards for the sales floor and store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking and responding to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
