Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about the labor and delivery process and postnatal care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts or eligibility for licensure.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work effectively in a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) or similar specialty certification.
