About the position

The temporary Academic Operations Manager at Syracuse University's School of Architecture is responsible for overseeing the academic operations of the New York Architecture Academic Program at the Fisher Center. This role involves collaboration with students, faculty, and industry professionals to enhance the educational experience and ensure effective program management.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with a cohort of 20-30 undergraduate students and a faculty of 6-8 architecture professors and instructors.
  • Oversee three part-time student assistants.
  • Develop architecture operations and programming, including workshops, public events, and exhibitions of student work.
  • Lead the program's mentorship and internship programs connecting students with architecture and design professionals in New York City.
  • Manage a range of administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the program.

Requirements

  • Experience in academic program management or operations.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
