About the position

The Temporary Accounting and Finance Administrative Staff position provides essential support in the Finance & Accounting, Budget, and Bursar offices. This role involves performing complex administrative functions related to accounting operations, assisting with financial statement preparation, managing accounts payable, and resolving accounting-related inquiries for the College.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of complex administrative functions related to accounting operations.
  • Assists with the preparation and review of Nashville State's financial statements.
  • Manages accounts payable transactions.
  • Researches and resolves complex questions/issues regarding various accounting topics for the College.
  • Assists with the preparation and review of Nashville State's budget statements.
  • Handles day-to-day operations within the Bursar's office.
  • Assists with grant management, invoicing, and reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) years of professional-level accounting experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Public Accountant licensure.
  • Experience working in a higher education environment.

Benefits

  • Rate of Pay: $38.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Work Hours: Up to 28 hours per week, depending on need.
