About the position

The Temporary Administrative Manager at Florida International University will support the Parking and Transportation Department by managing operations related to parking software systems. This role involves ensuring the functionality of systems, planning new development projects, and serving as a liaison with service providers. The manager will also oversee team operations, provide guidance to staff, and analyze data to improve service metrics and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Administrative Services with the management and operations of the Parking Software Systems.
  • Ensure functionality, implementation, and business processes are functioning properly.
  • Plan and execute new development projects according to defined processes and quality standards.
  • Serve as a liaison with service providers integrated with parking software operations to ensure functionality.
  • Communicate customer concerns and provide recommendations on resolving issues.
  • Manage operations, including delegation of duties and tasks to team members.
  • Plan and direct operations to improve productivity and efficiency, ensuring staff coverage.
  • Provide guidance and support to front line team members in IT and transportation operations.
  • Assist the Director of Administrative Services with procedure development and ensure adherence.
  • Monitor and measure service metrics, utilizing data to develop standards and improvements.
  • Analyze data and report findings with recommendations, defining customer service standards for front line team members.
  • Assist with multi-media content planning and development.
  • Work closely with student employees to develop and update content on the department website and social media.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and design teams to ensure brand management across all channels.
  • Assist with special projects as needed and serve as a liaison between various departments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • College degree and/or appropriate experience in management.
  • IT Knowledge.
  • Customer Service Experience.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Management Skills.
