About the position

The Assistant Community Director plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Director with the daily operations of a multifamily property, ensuring that the property meets the operational and financial goals set by the client. This position involves supervising on-site staff, maintaining positive resident relations, managing leasing and occupancy, and ensuring compliance with various housing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Director with day-to-day property operations.
  • Supervise on-site staff including leasing and maintenance teams.
  • Maintain positive communication with residents, vendors, and clients.
  • Manage leasing techniques and maintain occupancy levels as per budget expectations.
  • Assist in revenue management and timely rent collections.
  • Maintain resident files and ensure confidentiality and integrity of documents.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management procedures and report any incidents promptly.
  • Assist residents with maintenance requests and monitor facility needs.

Requirements

  • Experience in affordable housing programs such as LIHTC and HUD programs.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in Residential Property Management.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and property management software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Google Apps and RealPage software.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
