About the position

The Temporary AP/AR Specialist position is designed for a detail-oriented individual to support the accounts payable and receivable functions within a dynamic work environment. This role is temporary, with an immediate start and expected to last until late February to early March. The specialist will utilize their skills in processing invoices, managing billing, and reconciling accounts, particularly using Sage 100 software.

Responsibilities

• Process daily accounts payable, reconcile bills with purchase orders (POs), ensure correct matching, and enter invoices into the system.
• Prepare bills for payment three times per month, obtain necessary approvals before check printing, and oversee check printing.
• Manage accounts receivable, handle billing for shipments, enter invoices into Sage 100, and send invoices to customers via email, mail, or customer invoicing portals.
• Handle cash receipts, process deposits, and enter deposit details into software using a remote check scanner for bank submissions.
• Occasionally assist with credit card payments as needed.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience with Sage 100 software preferred.
