About the position
The Temporary Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Minot State University is responsible for supporting the head coach in various aspects of the basketball program, including practice organization, scouting, film breakdown, compliance, and recruiting. This part-time position also involves managing graduate assistants and participating in camps, with a contract that ends on March 15, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and conducting basketball practices.
- Perform scouting and film breakdown for game preparation.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA regulations and university policies.
- Participate in basketball camps and clinics.
- Assist in recruiting efforts for player personnel.
- Manage and communicate effectively with graduate assistants.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills to effectively manage graduate assistants and interact with players.
- Knowledge of basketball coaching techniques and strategies.
- Experience in scouting and film analysis.
- Understanding of NCAA compliance regulations.
