About the position
The Temporary Bilingual/Spanish Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and manage the maintenance operations at Cielo at Baldwin Apartments, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance services for the property. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in various maintenance areas, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage, and direct all maintenance employees, procedures, and operations.
- Train new employees in maintenance work processes and safety procedures.
- Perform evaluations of employees to ensure quality of work.
- Record and track daily progress of the maintenance team.
- Communicate daily with the Property Manager.
- Help create and adhere to the maintenance operation budget.
- Maintain current records for unit/building maintenance.
- Ensure the maintenance shop is kept clean and organized.
- Manage proactively a critical parts list in the maintenance shop.
- Maintain vendor relationships and order maintenance supplies as needed.
- Direct and oversee all daily maintenance activities including delegation of tasks.
- Implement and supervise preventative maintenance.
- Ensure completion of work orders within 24 hours and timely make-ready turnarounds.
Requirements
- Valid HVAC Certification license.
- Experience in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and pool maintenance.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and technical work.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
