About the position

The Client Service Representative is responsible for processing financial transactions and customer requests related to 529 college savings plans. This role requires high productivity and quality in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on following documented procedures and making decisions as necessary. Overtime may be required, including some weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process a diverse range of financial and non-financial transactions including new account setup, account contributions, account disbursements, fund transfers and exchanges, and client correspondence.
• Consistently meet productivity, timeliness, and quality standards.
• Assist or coordinate support for other functional units as needed.
• Perform quality assurance on transactions processed by peers.
• Complete core corporate training and develop solid knowledge of systems.
• Provide input into new department policies and procedures.
• Improve job knowledge to advance service capabilities through training and self-study.
• Learn and follow plan rules and procedures that vary by partner/plan.
• Recommend improvements to applications, workflows, and procedures.
• Provide constructive feedback to team members based on quality assurance evaluations.
• Work collaboratively as a team to provide quality service to clients.
• Assist management during busy periods to mentor and evaluate temporary staff.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years experience in a professional work environment preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Detail oriented and PC/keyboard proficient.
• Flexible, self-motivated, and able to multitask under pressure.
• Prior financial service industry experience is preferred.
• Series 6 and 63 licenses are preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
