About the position

Great News! Jet Dental is looking for Dental Assistants (DAs) to help on July 10th and 11th in the Santa Maria area. This temporary position offers competitive compensation ranging from $25 to $30 per hour. If you are driving over 90 miles, lodging will be provided along with per diem. Jet Dental is a mobile, on-site dental provider for corporations nationwide, improving the health of employees by bringing dental services directly to their workplace at no cost to the employer. The services provided include preventative and restorative care such as cleanings, X-Rays, exams, fillings, and teeth whitening on-site. With proper treatment planning, Jet Dental aims to enhance health and provide a more confident smile for employees. The company serves some of the top employers in the country, including Universal Studios, T-Mobile, and the NFL. As a Dental Assistant, you will be expected to maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service while working in a professional environment with direct patient contact. The role requires the ability to multi-task and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment. You will need to comply with all health and safety regulations and state dental practice requirements, and maintain all necessary certifications and licenses as a condition of continued employment. Personal transportation is required to work from various locations, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs is necessary. Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods is also essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during procedures and examinations.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
  • Take and develop X-rays as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of experience in dental assisting.
  • Current radiography certification (Required).
  • Registered Dental Assistant Certificate (Required).
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Compliance with all health & safety regulations and state dental practice requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred.
  • Excellent positive attitude and customer service skills.
