About the position

The Temporary Faculty Pool at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) is seeking qualified applicants for part-time teaching appointments in the Communication-Advertising/Public Relations program. This role involves teaching courses that prepare students for careers in advertising and public relations, emphasizing ethical practices and cultural understanding. The position is open continuously, with teaching opportunities based on student enrollment and funding, requiring flexibility to start on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in the department's curriculum.
• Serve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load.
• Teach upper and/or lower division courses in the major degree programs and in the department's shared curriculum.
• Conduct face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes as required.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in a relevant field or related discipline.
• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level with evidence of strong teaching.
• Experience in teaching and working with diverse backgrounds.

Nice-to-haves

• A Master's degree in Advertising, Public Relations, Strategic Communications, or related discipline.
• Extensive professional experience in the field relevant to the curriculum.
• A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline for teaching upper-division core courses.
