About the position

Olympic College invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Graphic Designer for a one-year, full-time contract. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to produce high-quality design assets that will be used in digital and print advertising, to promote new and existing academic programs, and to serve as design resources for college employees. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in a dynamic and rewarding environment and play a pivotal role in enhancing the college's visual presence. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for designing digital advertisements suitable for various platforms, including social media, web, and email campaigns. You will collaborate with marketing and academic departments to understand their needs and develop assets for the promotion of new academic programs. Additionally, you will produce a library of templates and design resources, such as brochures, flyers, posters, and online materials, for use by college employees. It is essential to ensure that all design assets are compliant with the college's brand guidelines and maintain a consistent and professional visual identity. You will also need to ensure compliance with the college's accessibility guidelines and stay current with design trends and industry standards to keep Olympic College's visuals fresh and relevant. In this role, you will work closely with printers or other vendors as needed to ensure high-quality final products. Knowledge of and ability to use DSLR cameras, along with basic photo editing skills, will be necessary. You will handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and provide feedback, recommendations, and creative direction to internal stakeholders to optimize visual content.
