About the position

The Temporary HR Assistant role at Westaff involves providing clerical and operational support to the HR department. This position is designed for individuals with clerical experience in a fast-paced environment and offers the potential for permanent employment. The assistant will handle various administrative tasks, including data entry and customer service functions, while maintaining confidentiality and supporting the onboarding process.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phones and processes mail for the HR department.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Performs data entry for new hires and position changes.
  • Maintains department records, uploads and files documents into appropriate team member files.
  • Assists with the onboarding process.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering team member requests and questions.
  • Provides clerical and operational support to other human resource staff.
  • Protects organization's value by maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have experience with Word, Excel, & efficient use of the Internet.
  • Must have previous clerical experience in a fast-paced work environment.
