The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Temporary Human Resources Specialist Aide to assist the Facilities Management department. This temporary position is limited to a maximum duration of 9 months and involves a variety of administrative tasks that are essential for the smooth operation of the HR functions within the department. The role will primarily focus on supporting day-to-day HR activities, including data entry, auditing, and document management. The Human Resources Specialist Aide will play a crucial role in the onboarding process for new hires, which includes managing new hire paperwork, scheduling drug screenings, processing background check requests, and coordinating badge requests. Additionally, the aide will be responsible for notifying departments of new hires, enrolling new employees in orientation, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. In addition to onboarding, the aide will also assist with offboarding tasks, which include department notifications, HRIS actions, and leave payout calculations. The position requires maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and adhering to HR policies and procedures. Other responsibilities include processing invoices related to retirement gifts and drug/alcohol screenings, conducting I-9 verifications, and assisting in auditing payroll for accuracy. The aide will also support the HR team with special projects and initiatives as assigned, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of on-campus and remote work, and is expected to work full-time hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The role may involve occasional lifting of equipment and materials, up to 25 lbs.
