About the position

The Temporary IT Support Specialist position at Partners Health Management is designed to provide essential support to the IT Department for a duration not exceeding 12 weeks. This role is crucial in ensuring that the IT infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently across various office locations in North Carolina. The specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the setup of new computers, networks, and software for new employees, as well as providing backup support to the IT team by managing emails and ensuring excellent customer service is delivered to end users. The position requires frequent travel to different office locations within the 14 counties served by Partners Health Management, making flexibility in work location a key aspect of the role. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with an average of 30 hours per week. The hourly wage for this position is projected to be up to $25, depending on the candidate's experience. The role is part of an employee referral program, meaning candidates must be referred by a current employee of Partners Health Management. While this position offers valuable experience in the IT field, it is important to note that it is temporary and does not include benefits. Key responsibilities include imaging new systems, installing operating systems and software applications, coordinating with other departments to ensure technology is functioning properly, and managing inventory of IT equipment. The specialist will also be tasked with collecting, analyzing, and storing data related to inventory management, as well as creating surveys to capture information about deployed devices. Responsibilities

  • Set up new computers, networks, and software for new employees.
  • Provide support to IT staff by answering phones, processing emails, and responding to user requests.
  • Work with IT resources to image new systems and add software applications where appropriate.
  • Install operating systems and other computer software applications on new computers.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all technology is working properly for the company.
  • Collect, analyze, and store data for inventory management.
  • Support the maintenance of existing computer systems, including troubleshooting problems with hardware and software.
  • Create a survey to capture end users' devices that have been deployed.
  • Deliver and pickup of equipment to/from other PHM office locations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of computers and related information technology devices.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude through strong analytical skills, problem identification and resolution, organizational skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Excellent customer service and written and oral communication skills required in working with users and team members.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with users who may not be coherent in clarifying problem situations.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and other demands.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to display a positive attitude and show initiative to meet departmental goals and customer expectations.

Nice-to-haves
