About the position

The Marketing & Communications Manager position at Bridges to Change is a full-time, temporary role responsible for enhancing the organization's marketing and communications efforts. This includes managing social media, email marketing, SEO, and content creation, with a strong emphasis on videography for a significant campaign project. The role also involves supporting community engagement and development through digital content and various projects and events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of Bridges to Change's social media presence and develop mission-aligned content across various platforms.
  • Develop new strategies to increase social media engagement and followers, ensuring content aligns with BTC branding.
  • Leverage videography to generate quality PR material to increase audience engagement.
  • Create electronic and print communication products, including advertising, collateral, donor communications, website content, E-newsletters, and social media posts.
  • Support contracted web development team with website-related projects and improvements.
  • Support media and public relations efforts including story placement, media outreach, and event promotion.
  • Research and improve search engine optimization and search engine marketing.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in communications and/or marketing, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
  • Degree in a related field, such as journalism, public relations, or communications, strongly preferred.
  • Experience in videography including video editing in various formats and platforms, required.
  • Proven results in managing social media platforms and analytics technologies to engage a diverse audience.
  • Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing.
  • Graphic design experience, strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe, WordPress, Canva, and MailChimp, preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.

  • Experience in a nonprofit organization.
  • Proven results in implementing marketing and communications plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while managing deadlines.
