About the position
The Temporary Night Nanny position is designed to provide compassionate and experienced overnight care for a newborn during the mother's recovery period following a scheduled C-section. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being of the newborn and supporting the family during a transitional time. The position is short-term, lasting 2-4 weeks, with the possibility of extension based on the family's needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, overnight newborn care, including feeding, changing, soothing, and monitoring.
- Assist with establishing a sleep routine and ensuring a calm and safe sleep environment.
- Be available to support the mother if needed during her recovery.
- Maintain a tidy sleep area and handle any necessary light newborn-related tasks.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in newborn care.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Non-smoker and comfortable with pets.
- Own transportation to and from the family's home.
- Provide 3-5 professional references.
