The Temporary Paralegal position is designed to support the Superior Courts within the New London Judicial District. The position is located at various court locations, including the New London Judicial District at 70 Huntington Street, New London, and other nearby courthouses in Norwich and Waterford. The Temporary Paralegal will be responsible for assisting with various legal tasks, ensuring that court documents are prepared accurately and efficiently, and providing support to attorneys and court staff as needed. This is a full-time temporary position, requiring up to 70 hours in a two-week pay period, with a pay rate of $19.10 per hour. Candidates for this position must have graduated from a paralegal studies program that provides a Paralegal Certificate or possess an associate or bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies. Other acceptable qualifications include a bachelor's degree or relevant law-related experience. The role requires a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Temporary Paralegal will also be expected to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of their work. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and filings.

Requirements
