About the position

The Law Offices of Robert P. Rich are seeking a temporary, part-time paralegal to assist with trial preparation. This position is located in-person in Walnut Creek, CA, with the possibility of occasional remote work. The ideal candidate will be someone who can work independently and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail is crucial, as the role involves a working knowledge of civil litigation procedures. The paralegal will play a vital role in supporting the legal team during trial prep, ensuring that all necessary documentation and research are completed efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with preparation for trial
• Case management
• Assisting with drafting and responding to discovery and other documents
• Assisting with legal research and investigation
• Scheduling meetings with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

Requirements

• Spanish language proficiency
• Experience with Westlaw
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with Lexis-Nexis
• Possession of a Paralegal Certificate
• Strong communication skills
• Entry-level experience

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office (Preferred)
