About the position

The Temporary Part Time Demand Planner at Gordon Food Service will engage with Supply Chain Planning Teams and other departments, providing exposure to various activities and development opportunities. This role focuses on demand planning, inventory management, and collaboration to ensure customer needs are met efficiently. The position fosters a collaborative culture and offers a chance to work with multiple leaders in the Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

  • Support demand planning activities by analyzing sales data and developing accurate forecasts for each item at distribution centers.
  • Manage replenishment activities, including releasing purchase orders to suppliers and overseeing inventory levels to prevent stockouts and spoilage.
  • Utilize data analytics and reports to maintain optimal inventory levels and respond proactively to business needs.
  • Participate in meetings with team members and other departments to enhance collaboration and communication.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Data Science.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn.
