About the position

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled individual to join our team as an Experienced Product Merchandiser. This role is crucial in executing merchandising strategies, assembling and installing retail fixtures, and ensuring that product displays are visually appealing and aligned with company standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to meeting both company and client expectations. As an Experienced Product Merchandiser, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include reset activity, shelf conditions, and the completion of schematics and plan-o-grams. You will perform general labor duties such as unloading trucks, pallets, and boxes, as well as stocking shelves. A strong knowledge of store fixtures, including metal fixtures and gondolas, is essential. You will be expected to rearrange beams and grids, rotate inventory, assemble products, and set up displays using power tools and equipment, all while adhering to project guidelines. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be tasked with spotting damaged products, documenting them as defective, and replacing damaged or missing signage and displays in accordance with merchandising standards. You will also verify that all product pricing is clear and visible, replacing any missing or incorrect labels. Coordination with store management to display clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale is also part of your duties. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with coworkers, store personnel, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reset activity, shelf conditions, tear down/rebuild, and schematics/plan-o-gram completion.
  • Perform general labor duties such as unloading trucks, pallets, boxes, and stocking shelves.
  • Knowledge of store fixtures including metal fixtures and gondolas, light and heavy duty types or brands of racking.
  • Rearrange beams and grids, rotate inventory, assemble products, and set up displays using power tools and equipment.
  • Spot damaged products and document them as defective.
  • Detect and replace damaged or missing signage, displays, and marketing materials in line with merchandising standards.
  • Verify that all product pricing is clear and visible and replace any missing or incorrect labels.
  • Coordinate with store management to display clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale.
  • Organize products in bins, drawers, and boxes to ensure they are correctly located.
  • Reset shelving elevations and install new shelves or small displays onto gondolas.
  • Install shelf accessories like dividers, wire baskets, clips, and such.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of reset merchandising experience in retail, grocery, or hardware store settings.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in assembling and installing fixtures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with coworkers, store personnel, and vendors.
