About the position

The Division of Women's Health at Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a temporary Research Assistant I to support study projects, particularly for the Bridges to Moms Program. This program focuses on addressing social determinants of health for pregnant women who are poor or at risk of homelessness, providing essential services such as housing support, transportation, and mental health monitoring. The role involves working up to 10 hours per week on various research-related tasks, primarily based in the Longwood Medical Area.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical data extraction from EPIC.
  • Data collection and management for research-related tasks.
  • Assisting with progress reports and data analysis as needed.
  • Gathering and analyzing data for the annual Patient Feedback Survey, including making phone calls to patients and organizing data for presentation.
  • Pulling additional data from the Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) related to program services impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MPH a plus.
  • Strong clinical interest or background in women's health and/or ethnographic research is encouraged.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
  • Experience with EPIC data extraction is required.
