About the position

The Research Associate I will work on a federally funded grant aimed at expanding behavioral health services for youth and young adults in under-resourced areas. This role involves project and data management, ensuring the implementation of evaluation activities, and collaborating with project consultants and team members to achieve project goals. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and sensitive to confidential information, contributing to evidence-based services related to youth support.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee administrative planning and coordination of Project TREE services and data collection.
  • Engage in training related to evidence-based practices of Project TREE.
  • Implement Project TREE services with at-risk youth and caregivers.
  • Conduct outreach in the community with schools and agencies serving target youth.
  • Collaborate with the project evaluation team on data collection protocols.
  • Conduct ongoing outreach with schools and community agencies for Project TREE activities.
  • Participate in regular team project meetings to monitor implementation.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of job-related activities.
  • Attend assigned community meetings as directed by the Prevention Navigator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or related field.
  • One to two years of experience in the substance use/mental health field.
  • One to two years of experience working on a social science research team.
  • Two years of experience working with youth in group and/or individual settings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with at-risk youth.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Social Sciences or closely related field preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired.
