About the position

The Temporary Retail Associate at Marshalls is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining store standards, and supporting various operational tasks. This role emphasizes a positive store culture and adherence to company policies while contributing to the overall growth of the business.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
• Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store as needed.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns, counting change back according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs to customers.
• Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company standards.
• Participate in store recovery throughout the day to maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback from peers and supervisors.
• Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking and responding to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
