About the position

The Temporary Sales Associate at Coach is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in a luxury retail environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, creating personal sales strategies, and building lasting relationships with clients. The associate will represent the Coach brand, maintain store standards, and contribute to a positive team environment while achieving personal and store sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Understands organizational objectives and aligns decisions with company priorities and values.
  • Creates personal sales and clienteling strategies in partnership with the management team.
  • Meets customer needs through solution-oriented and forward-thinking approaches.
  • Builds credibility and trust as a personal fashion advisor by communicating fashion awareness and trends.
  • Supports the execution of local sales strategies and tactics based on market changes.
  • Maintains a professional appearance consistent with Coach's style guide.
  • Demonstrates Coach's Selling and Service expectations at all times.
  • Influences customers' purchase decisions with a balance of patience and assertiveness.
  • Takes ownership for delivering results and achieving personal and store metrics.
  • Flexes personal selling techniques to contribute to overall store financial results.
  • Demonstrates persuasive and friendly service skills and selling behaviors.
  • Discusses product features and suggests appropriate add-on items to fit customer needs.
  • Works with multiple customers simultaneously and follows up consistently to influence sales.
  • Develops product knowledge and remains aware of current collections and competition.
  • Drives business through sales strategies, clienteling, and maintaining productive customer relationships.
  • Tailors approach to customers by reading cues and building lasting relationships.
  • Completes daily operational tasks including maintaining store standards and visual merchandising.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous selling experience in a luxury retail service environment preferred.
  • Current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the ability to use iPad/laptop and Mobile POS.
