About the position

The Sales Associate role at Coach is essential for driving store success and delivering exceptional customer service. This position focuses on building lasting customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and representing the Coach brand with integrity and enthusiasm. The Sales Associate is responsible for understanding market trends, executing sales strategies, and maintaining store operations to uphold Coach's standards.

Responsibilities

  • Understand organizational objectives and align decisions with company priorities.
  • Take ownership of personal sales metrics and create strategies in partnership with management.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategies to achieve personal performance goals.
  • Represent Coach as a brand ambassador and demonstrate selling and service expectations.
  • Understand local market changes and support local sales strategies.
  • Drive business through sales strategies and maintain productive customer relationships.
  • Create positive impressions through professional attire and demeanor.
  • Provide in-depth product knowledge and communicate pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Cross-sell and encourage beneficial product add-ons based on customer needs.
  • Tailor approach to meet individual customer shopping needs and follow up consistently.
  • Flex personal selling techniques to contribute to overall store results.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration with internal and external customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and adhere to retail policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills, including mobile POS.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Physical ability to maneuver the sales floor and stock room, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
