About the position

The Step2 Company is seeking a TEMPORARY 3rd Shift Shipping Associate to join their distribution center in Warren, Ohio. This role involves verifying and maintaining the organization of products and materials in the warehouse, ensuring a clean and safe working environment, and preparing items for shipment. The position requires working during the night shift from 10 PM to 6 AM, with a focus on teamwork and efficiency in shipping operations.

Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain the organization of products and materials in the warehouse.
• Keep all aisle ways, fire extinguishers, exits, and loading docks clear and free of debris.
• Verify and keep records on outgoing shipments.
• Prepare items for shipment by conveying products to designated areas using lift trucks or pallet jacks.
• Attach labels to cartons and maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Insert items into containers and compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures of items against bills of lading, invoices, or orders.
• Keep dock trash bins empty and maintain cleanliness in the work area.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work most holidays and occasional overtime as required.
• Ability to drive lift truck and clamp truck.
• Experience using a scanner and pallet jack.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and work with minimal supervision.

Benefits

• $18.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential for 3rd shift.
