The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking a Temporary Social Media Manager for the Roman Family Center for Decision Research (RF-CDR). This role is pivotal in managing the center's social media presence and communicating its mission effectively. The RF-CDR focuses on understanding how individuals make decisions and form judgments, and the Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in promoting the center's work, particularly its public discovery center, Mindworks: The Science of Thinking. In this position, the Social Media Manager will collaborate closely with the RF-CDR's communications team, including the Director of Operations and External Relations, as well as the Senior Associate Director of Communications. The primary responsibility will be to create, execute, and manage a comprehensive social media strategy across various platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok. The goal is to enhance the visibility of the center and increase visitor traffic and participation in research initiatives. The Social Media Manager will also be responsible for translating the center's work and mission into engaging content that resonates with a broad audience. This includes providing information about behavioral science, the nature of experimental research, and the significance of the Mindworks exhibits. The role requires a proactive approach to outreach and advertising initiatives to attract visitors to Mindworks, ensuring that the center's objectives are met effectively. This is a part-time, temporary position requiring approximately 10-20 hours of work per week, with a hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of social media dynamics, and the ability to collaborate professionally with faculty, students, and staff.
