The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking a Temporary Social Media Manager for the Roman Family Center for Decision Research (RF-CDR). This part-time position, estimated at 10-20 hours per week, will play a crucial role in managing the center's social media presence and communicating its mission to a broad audience. The RF-CDR is dedicated to studying how individuals form judgments and make decisions, and the Social Media Manager will work closely with the communications team to enhance the visibility of the center and its public discovery center, Mindworks: The Science of Thinking. In this role, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating, executing, and managing the social media strategy across various platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok. The goal is to increase visitor traffic and participation in research by effectively translating the work and mission of the RF-CDR and Mindworks into engaging content. The manager will also provide information to audiences about behavioral science and the importance of the Mindworks exhibits, serving as a positive ambassador for the center during interactions with visitors. The position requires excellent communication skills, good organizational abilities, and a strong attention to detail. Familiarity with social science research methods is preferred, as the manager will need to collaborate with faculty, students, and staff to promote the center's initiatives. This hybrid position offers flexibility in working hours, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a prestigious institution while managing their own schedule.
