About the position

The Temporary Student Support - Customer Transportation/Logistics position at WK Kellogg Co is designed for students currently enrolled in college or university, providing them with valuable experience in a corporate environment. This part-time, temporary role will involve working on various supply chain functions, data management, and analysis, contributing to the company's mission of creating joy and connection through nutritious foods. The position is hybrid, requiring some onsite work in Battle Creek, MI, and is expected to last from mid-January 2025 through June 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

  • Learn a breakdown of core supply chain functions, along with major roles and responsibilities for each.
  • Manage and organize large datasets.
  • Gain an understanding of the food and beverage industry, including both food service and retail channels.
  • Conduct cross-functional root cause analysis to identify reason codes to improve On Time Performance.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement modeling and Volume Analysis (Procured vs Projections).
  • Assist in new carrier onboarding and SOP development.
  • Perform Accessorial Analysis.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at an accredited college or university working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree - REQUIRED.
  • Majoring in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to investigate complex issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, and independent thinker.
  • Results-focused with a bias towards decisive action.
  • Effectively communicates complex results and recommendations in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organization, and planning skills.
  • High proficiency in tools used for data analysis such as Excel - REQUIRED.
