About the position

The Douglaston Companies is seeking a Temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage the full cycle recruitment process during a 6-month leave. This role is essential for building motivated and engaged teams within a collaborative environment, focusing on sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle recruitment process including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, and building candidate pipelines.
  • Review resumes and screen candidates for suitability.
  • Conduct and coordinate interviews, ensuring proper processing of employment applications.
  • Partner with hiring managers to create robust job descriptions to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Stay current on industry trends and market conditions related to talent acquisition.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives within the recruitment process.
  • Build relationships with external organizations to leverage talent sources.
  • Attend career fairs and other events to market the company.
  • Conduct new hire stay interviews to support positive employee culture.
  • Assist with special projects and events as necessary.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in recruiting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, psychology, communication, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to build and foster relationships with trust and credibility.
  • Strong people skills and ability to interact with all levels including executive teams.
  • Ability to adapt and pivot in a dynamic environment.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and city employment law as it pertains to recruitment and diversity.
  • Self-motivated, independent thinker, and a team player.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizing capabilities.
  • Comfortable working within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to solve problems and exercise good judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience in Paycom HRIS is a plus.
