About the position

The Temporary Web Designer at the University of Louisville will oversee and implement all phases of design, layout, site mapping, and some coding for departmental webpages within a university web environment. This role is critical for the success of a specific university technology project, requiring collaboration with programmers and adherence to federal compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement design, layout, and site mapping for departmental webpages.
  • Conduct digital migration of content and perform website testing.
  • Engage in copywriting and editing for web content.
  • Monitor content using Site Improve and ensure compliance with ADA regulations.
  • Collaborate with programmers and digital teams to implement technology projects.

Requirements

  • Four years of experience in web design or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in the Drupal platform and Adobe software.
  • Experience with multimedia management and various digital toolkits.
  • Ability to work in an academic setting and collaborate with technical teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Plone CMS.
  • Proficiency in designing for digital teams using Figma.
  • Familiarity with university branding.
