About the position

The Temporary Workforce Consultant position is designed to provide specialized employment services and support programs for individuals facing significant barriers to employment. This role focuses on delivering client-specific services to diverse populations, including veterans, persons with disabilities, and the homeless, while also offering customized business services to employers. The position emphasizes building relationships with community partners and requires a strong understanding of workforce development and local resources.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized employment services and access to supportive programs for those experiencing severe barriers to employment.
  • Provide outcome-based, client-specific services to diverse populations and cultures.
  • Administer comprehensive assessments and employment training services for job seekers.
  • Provide customized business services for employers to address their needs in worker recruitment and retention.
  • Build and maintain relationships with businesses, education, economic development, and other community partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in personnel or business administration, counseling, education, or a related field.
  • One year of directly related experience assessing and advising others in personal and professional issues.
  • Five years of directly related qualifying experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Knowledge of local social service agencies and community resources.
  • Basic concepts of workforce development and labor market information.
