About the position

The Senior Tenable Admin role is a critical position that serves as the single point of contact for the entire Tenable platform and service within the organization. This position is primarily focused on the migration to Tenable One, which includes compliance tools and/or Cybersecurity Threat and Exposure Management (CTEM). The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a similar role and must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. While experience in financial services is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement for this position. In this role, the Senior Tenable Admin will be responsible for configuring the Tenable backend, including both Tenable.IO and Tenable.SC. A critical aspect of the job is the migration and implementation of Tenable One, which requires prior experience in this area. The candidate will work closely with various organizational towers to deploy agents effectively and maximize scanning efficiency and coverage across the network. Additionally, the role involves patching of Tenable software, performing installations and upgrades as necessary, and managing a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment in collaboration with the vendor. The Senior Tenable Admin will also be responsible for managing change control processes for Tenable, monitoring the platform for outages, and being available for high-severity escalations outside of regular hours. The role includes raising and responding to tickets associated with Tenable on the Remedy/Helix system, testing the platform after environmental changes, and leading disaster recovery efforts during US business hours. Compliance scans will be arranged and run on Tenable, and the candidate will provide advice and guidance to IT towers on best practices for using Tenable. Furthermore, the Senior Tenable Admin will help create necessary dashboards, set up reporting mechanisms, and produce reports for senior management. Documentation of operations performed related to Tenable must be maintained and kept up to date. The candidate will integrate into the client's security team and report on security matters, troubleshoot any issues related to Tenable, and work with the vendor to escalate and resolve problems as they arise.
